Title: SLQ 1918D and 1919 - GRADE OPINION please
Post by: Deagle74 on February 06, 2010, 02:06:03 AM
Hi there!

Got this two quarters from a local dealer for 20$ and would really appreciate your opinion on grade. Can 1919 be a VF-20? I'll leave it to you.

THANK YOU.

I'm no expert, but that 1919 looks more like a 45 to me.  I can't tell about the 1918, it has some scratches, but the grade could go 35-40 if you ask me.  Seems like a nice deal, I especially like the 1919.

I'm very happy with that  Happy(*)

I'd think that the 1919 alone was worth more than $20, I just looked it up and my old Redbook (2008) has it listed at $70 in VF and $80 in EF.  Looks like you did just fine. :)
