The unofficial MOVIE RECOMMENDATION thread
« on: February 02, 2010, 09:36:25 AM »

Please post any recommendations of movies here, along with a brief description or comments on why you liked it.

I'll start, as I just finished watching DAS BOOT for the second time.  Highly recommended!

It's a German movie about a U-boat crew and their contributions during WWII.  Long movie, but totally engrossing!  I fully recommend this one if you are interested in WWII and the stresses of being locked in a sub for months at a time. :)

Rated R,  Dir. Wolfgang Peterson

Good idea for a thread :ThumbsUp;

Since I don't get out to the movies much, I can't wait to hear what will be recommended :)

I'm not much of a movie fan myself. I've pretty much decided that the only reason I will go to a theatre ever again will be for another Star Wars movie or another Simpsons movie.

I hear ya, Billy, I think that the re-issue of Star Wars was the last time I was in a theater.  My movie recommendations are coming more from DVD or television.  I have become far more interested in what I've missed through the years than what is coming out now. :)

Oh, and I give Star Wars (a hew hope) two thumbs up, I wish I had more thumbs to give it a better review. ;)  My all-time favorite!
