  • Wow!  That's an amazing design,  I'm glad you posted it. I'm always looking for cool world coin designs, and the older the better.

  • This is a very large coin at 75mm. They were also mint in sizes from 80 to 86mm. I'm looking to buy an 8 Taler coin (100mm). That almost 4 inch's !

    The reason I do not collect US coins anymore, is do to the fact that the coins are to boring. The older commemoratives of the US is where the outstanding designs are at. And it looks as though those days are long gone never to return again.

    So very true............ the US coins of today are cartoonish.
    Its really a shame.
