Title: Coins of the British Commonwealth - Kedah (2008).
Post by: BCNumismatics on November 10, 2009, 09:59:52 PM
You can find a combined photo of the Kedahan 2008 silver 5 Dirhams, which was struck at an unknown mint in Penang to commemorate the Golden Jubilee of the Sultan of Kedah.

I've reported it for listing in both Krause & K.N. Boon's Bruneian,Malaysian,& Singaporean banknote & coin catalogue.

Please let me know what you think.

Aidan.

I can't say I've ever heard of Kedah before. Where is that located? That's British related? I would not have guessed that in a million years.

Billy,
Kedah is one of the states in Malaysia.

Have a read here; http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kedah (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kedah) .

My Kedahan medal-coin isn't even listed in Krause or Krause's 'Unusual World Coins'.
