This is a Taler from the Kingdom of Hannover Germany. It is graded ANACS AU-58. I will get a better picture.

That is a very nice coin.

King Ernst August ruled as King of Hanover from 1837 to 1851,as Queen Victoria could not succeed to the Hanoverian throne under Salic law.He was a very unpopular Duke of Cumberland when he was in England.

His son was the blind King Georg V,who was deposed at the end of the Prusso-Hanoverian War in 1866.His descendant is Prince Ernst August,who is married to Princess Caroline of Monaco.
