Title: Hail to the Queen!
Post by: cpm9ball on February 07, 2010, 09:40:34 PM
Trust me when I tell you that my photographic skills leave a lot to be desired. This was an experiment I tried using two Ott lights to flood these proof coins with as much light as possible. Unfortunately, the 1973 Bahamas $10 had a haze on the obverse, and I had to reduce the intensity of the light. You can see more detail on the Queen's, face, but the reverse turned out okay.

Those are interesting designs, I haven't seen them before.  Thanks for posting. :)

Chris,
Those are very nice Proof medal-coins that you've got there.

The British Virgin Islands has put out a lot of those $25 ones, which is US$25 in face value alone, but the catalogue value is more than that.

Your site wants me to register, first, and I'm a little leery about doing that. In the past, I used to sign up for a lot of them, but one of them placed a trojan in my system and I had to delete my photo software. It caused me to lose about 5000 images. Why don't you select some of your favorites and put them here so I can view them?

Chris,
Even when I have been logged out of Coin Network,I can still see into my gallery on there.

Joining http://www.coinnetwork.com (http://www.coinnetwork.com) is not going to harm your computer.

You just choose a user name, enter your email address, choose a password, then you can register.

Every time that you want to log in,you just enter your email address & password. If you click on the blank field,& your email address comes up,along with a row of dots in the password line, then you will know that Windows Autocomplete has saved your email address & password to save you having to manually type it all out again.

I hope to see you joining up there,& adding photos.

Aidan.

Thanks for the invite Aiden, but I already host my photos on my own website! :) I have the numismatic section locked to the general public, but a PM to me will get pretty much anyone I know the password...I have an album for each country, but it's almost all scans, hardly any photographs. I have fallen behind in updating it however, all the coins I got at my first coin show in October and for Christmas (which was a substantial amount-almost 300 combined, and about double what IS in there) are not in there.

Vivat Regina - Long Live The Queen, as she has stated it is a job for life and I hope she lives as long if not longer than her indomitable mother.
