I like your Scottish hammered collection. It reminds me that I really need to get back to work on my own hammered collection, too. I haven't owned a Scottish issue yet, but there are some interesting ones to be had. Thanks for posting the link.

I also have a lot of hammered English coins that I will eventually scan,including a King Henry VIII 1/2 Groat that was struck at Canterbury.
I have no idea how to gently remove the old Blu-tac from the reverse of the coin,which was there when I got it back in 2000.
I have some coins that have old Sellotape marks,which I would like to try & remove without harming the affected coins.I have tried using acetone,which largely failed.
