Got this one today. 1/2 Taler with highly intricate detail. PCGS graded MS-65 which will upgrade my MS-62 piece below.

NGC MS-62 (I believe it has more in it than a 62)

1/4Talers and 1/2Talers are rare to find in this grade. It is easier to find a Taler in high grade. You made a very smart move getting this high end piece. You will find that 1/2Talers in high grade during this time period, can and will bring prices higher then a high grade common date and mint Taler.
You and I both know, that we have seen more mint state 17th century Talers over the years, than we have seen 1/2Talers. The smaller denomination Talers had seen a lot more use in everyday life during the 17th ury compared to the Taler. Just think of your 1740 1/4Taler in MS62 ( I know it use to be mine, but I can not remember if it was 62 or 63 ), and I know I have never seen a 64 let alone a 65.
Again, you made a very smart move in getting this outstanding 1/2Taler. :ThumbsUp;
