It is called a "Play" and you need to think of that as "toy" rather than as in "Playstation." But it only cost $5 at the local Goodwill computer store. With some work, like any tool, I got used to its limitations and found some of its strengths. These are both at 10x. The microscope has 10-60-200 power, but 10 is fine for most things. And most coins are too large for the field of view, which is why the Cap and Rays 20 centavo is just the Cap and Rays. The controls for the lighting have little actual range. Most coins are too bright. I found that I had to keep my subject in the far lower right corner, farthest from the light source. The software allows "Paint" type editing. And it allows the building of a short (9 slide) automated show.

Thank goodness for continual research and development as computing will never stand still and will continue to get better and better

These pictures are from a computer museum operated by our local Goodwill in the back of their computer store.
A Dell signed by Michael Dell and an IMSAI.

From the first ... to a more recent...
Democritus (Demokritos) posited the existence of atoms. Marie Skłodowska and her husband Pierre Curie used that knowledge to show (among other things) that elements are not immutable.
