      The reverse of that one reminds me of the reverse design of some of the American Civil War 1c. currency tokens.

    I presume that the obverse depicts King George III.

    The date on this piece is misleading...on the obverse is William III.

  • You are right about the obverse depicting King William III of England/II of Scotland.

    The style looks like a 'Cartwheel' coin from King George III's reign.
