New Charles I/ James I jeton

Here's my new purchase, an English jeton of Charles I and James I.  The seller had it listed as gold gilded, I'm not sure what is under it though (silver?)  It's just one of those things that caught my eye. :)

What appeared from the seller's pics as scratches along the rim turn out to be raised metal, perhaps from the gilding process?  Any opinions or info on the jeton are welcomed.

Thanks. :)  I've been unable to lock down a specific date on it yet, just that it's somewhere between 1616 and 1625.  Info on some of these obscure jetons is a tough find unfortunately.
