Reform League Medal, Great Britain
« on: November 21, 2009, 05:48:23 PM »

This Reform League Medal is from Great Britain.  In 1865, the Reform League began to support public demonstrations to bolster support for 'adult man suffrage.'  They were ultimately successful and Parliament enacted legislation that finally permitted middle class working men to vote.

Membership in the Reform League was not for the faint of heart, as the following linked article will show...

I have collected U.S coins for many years, and then Civil War Tokens, but am now actively building a collection of Conder Tokens,
the coins that made the Industrial Revolution a whopping success. : )
