Here's a rare purchase for me; a gold coin. I really like the design of this little beauty! These are known as the Vreneli type, while the somewhat more classical types are called the Helvetia design. I really have no idea where the word "Vreneli" comes from. If anyone else knows, I'd be interested to find out!

Yes, I have been noticing a compression of images posted lately...I don't know why but it's nothing too big once you adjust your eyes for it
