Excellent. Very similar design to the swiss shooting medals.

Did you happen to notice the intentional damage to the exergue?

The intentionally damaged area does not bother me in the least.

In part due to the both the method of blocking out the name and how well controlled it was controlled and confined to the name area.

In fact this piece has more appeal to the human drama that is perhaps being conveyed versus such a medal in which the name plate area is blank due to never having been awarded to an individual.

I feel the same as you, but I would still like to know if the name under the damage was that of a man or a woman.
