It has been quite a long time since I purchased any medals from one of my French connections. I spotted this one the other day, and was awed by the relief which gives the scene depth. Despite the fact that it has been about 16 months since my last purchase from Fabrice, I contacted him and asked if he would consider accepting $200 for it. Sure! Hurray! It's mine! From past experience, it usually takes 7-10 days for delivery. For now, all I have are the photos in the listing, but I just had to tell somebody about it.This medal from 1929 is struck in bronze, is 81mm and weighs 6.9 ozs.ChrisPS. At 6+ ounces/81mm, that one is a whopper! I guess slabbing is out of the question.

FB, didn't you know that NGC added some new oversized slabs to their line last year? Here's the link:http://www.ngccoin.com/services/oversize-holder.aspxBesides that, they also started grading jetons, tokens and medals that are listed in the Mitchiner book. I think some of yours would look awesome in one of the oversized slabs.Chris
Now if NGC started a registry section....or do they already have one for jetons?
