Dedication  All States Shooting Competition in Nuremberg AR Medal ( so-called Marksman thaler)
 
Date Struck  1897
 
Engraver  C. Balmberger
 
Obv:  Marksmen in old dress behind city shield
Rev:  East site city view in ornamented window, competition attributes in front
 
Diameter  41 mm. , 29.66 gm

Another awesome design!  I'm surprised by the date though. To me it has the look of an older design, maybe early 1800's.   Very nice! :ThumbsUp;

It does have an older design to it, I like the design of the German shooting medals over the Swiss. Its hard for me now to chose which series to finish first. I seem to find more Swiss medals at shows than I do German ones. I guess I have to look harder for the German medals. But it makes the hunt a lot of fun.
