CoinArchives.com.......who has the paid subscription?
« on: March 27, 2011, 05:21:56 PM »
I use CoinArchives.com to research World coin auction prices. They are pretty good on giving you an idea of value but is
limited and they want you to "Go Pro" which is "Full Access to the Entire CoinArchives Database" but costs $600  year ???

Does anyone subscribe to them?

Just in case you don't know what I am referring to.....we have a link on our Links and Dealers page
but, its here direct....

If not, what do you use to compare prices?
I also look at all the recent auctions at Heritage and Stacks.

I have never found a book that had true pricing or values for the coins....maybe I'm wrong?

I'm not a paid subscriber to CoinArchives, but I used to search their listings all the time.  They are a great resource for ideas, and as I recall they list past auction prices, too.

But to compare prices, I really just dig around and see what something sold for on Ebay or other auctions, or what other online shops are asking for similar items.  Of course, then I use my own judgement as to what I thinnk it's worth, or what I'm willing to pay (how much I want it).
