Anniversary of death
« on: January 08, 2010, 06:53:29 AM »
My oldest daughter would play this song everyday after the death of her mother. She was killed by a drunk driver on christmas day in 2000. This time of the year is very hard for me.

I am sorry for your loss. A Latin quote from the poet Horace is good to remember; "non omnis moriar", meaning "not all of me will die." No one is really gone as long as a memory lives. I believe that is important for all to remember.

Regandon,
Prior to Bulgaria's entry into the European Union, drunk drivers were subjected to a 2 strikes & you're out policy, which means that once they were caught driving drunk by the police the second time around, they were sentenced to death.

The death sentence was the Nicolae Ceaucescu Treatment - being put up against a wall & shot!

Drunk drivers are lowlifes in the same category as those who peddle drugs.

Aidan.

It's a touching tribute.  Knowing of your daughter's relationship to the song made it so much more impressive.

It made me cry.  I am sorry such a terrible thing happened.
I have collected U.S coins for many years, and then Civil War Tokens, but am now actively building a collection of Conder Tokens,
the coins that made the Industrial Revolution a whopping success. : )
