Title: Postal Orders of the British Commonwealth - India.
Post by: BCNumismatics on August 24, 2009, 08:41:02 AM
Postal orders are collected by quite a few banknote collectors, especially in England.

Here's a link in relation to the current postal orders of India; http://www.indianarmy.gov.in/aps/indian-postal-order.html (http://www.indianarmy.gov.in/aps/indian-postal-order.html) .

The Indian Army has been issuing its own Field Postal Orders since 2007,but they are very difficult to obtain, due to their high face value. Here's a link in relation to them; http://www.indianarmy.gov.in/aps/field-postal-order.html (http://www.indianarmy.gov.in/aps/field-postal-order.html) .

You can read about the history of the postal orders of India here; http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Postal_Orders_of_India (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Postal_Orders_of_India) .

You will all be very pleased to know that I have got some Indian postal orders coming in the mail this week.

I will be very pleased once a parcel arrives in the mail over here in New Zealand from India,as I will eventually get some photos posted up.
