I have got an example of the Kelantanese AH1427 (2006) 1/4 Dinar in my own collection.

  • Like the design, but even placed in a card/holder I'm not sure which is the obverse and which is the reverse.

  • Walmann,
The obverse is in the top photo, which depicts a monogram of some sort, along with the weight expressed incorrectly as '2,06 gm.' in Arabic.

The reverse depicts a minaret with the Kelantanese Coat-of-Arms next to it.

This coin is listed in Krause's 'Unusual World Coins' as KMX1,albeit,without photos.

  • Walmann,
I haven't come across any more Kelantanese gold coins,as they are an elusive series.

The only coin in my collection from Kelantan has made me pretty happy so far.

    Aidan.
