Truly fascinating on several levels.  Here is a numismatist's token -- and think of all the coin club wooden nickels and ANA convention badges -- and it is toned in a spectacular way.  I wonder what he would say about the toning and our reaction to it? What would John K. Curtis say about third party grading on a 70-point scale?  The hobby has come a long way!

On its way to me, will post pic's when I get it.
1859 Curtis token NY 181 MS65 RB

Seller says scratches are on slab:)

How's this for toning ;D

Makes a great set. I now have the first token he made in this series and I already have the last one.
All dies were cut be George H.  Lovett

Love the toning on all of them Stef, but this one is my favorite. It's the iridescent blue toning that won me over. It looks almost like neon.
