  • What is HT? I'm sorry if this is a dumn question but I am just learning about tokens and I am used to PCGS, NGC, and ANACS.

  • HT is Hard times. They should have said HTT, which stands for Hard Times Token. The "Hard Times" era was during, and just after President Jackson's term, the economy was much like it is today, so private Mints filled the coin shortage with tokens like this one, most of which had political sayings. Note the 1837 date, which dates it to the hard times era.
     Ask ANYTHING you want, that's how we learn! :)
