  • I bought one and have noticed the prices have skyrocketed.
Is this temporary or something good in the makings? ;D

  • If the proof finish is different than in the standard proof sets then these sets will skyrocket, with only 50000 sets.

Even without that here is some OGP that is worth a premium in my opinion. This set, unlike many other Mint issues, has a true central theme and is well executed in its presentation.

With the Lincoln cent having the largest collector base of any US series the demand should always exceed the supply by vast numbers. Hence even if there is no variety due to a matte finish or such it is a winner.

Heck, some say its just packaging , but aren't the coins themselves in a sense just packaging then too? Why not just collect lumps of metals? Why because the designs are attractive. And the design of this packaged grouping is attractive.

  • Flipper heaven will be short lived I believe. Once those sets the flippers obtained by having family and friends order run dry, the collectors that hold them may well hold their sets for sometime.

You don't come across ventriloquist singers of that quality all that often. Never even saw his lips twitch once.
