A stroll down Red Book Lane
« on: November 18, 2009, 09:39:44 PM »
From the 1964 17th edition and 1965 18th editions.

Came across this tonight helping a friend go through some of his
Mothers coins that he inherited. Almost everything has been sold and ran across these.

If only I was interested in coins back then, was a tad young though..........:D

That was 1964?  I wonder what that comes out to with inflation factored in....  :-\

I don't think I've even heard of a Willow Tree shilling.  Neat stuff, Stefanie! :)

These older editions are not only interesting for viewing the price listings, but the change in the various write ups that have occurred over the years.

The earlier editions are also carry a decent premium for volumes in nice condition as well.

Well, I'd surely take an Oak Tree shilling for $180. ;D  Make that two!  That's one of the coins I have always wanted but will probably never own.

I've seen them in the red book as well, and wished I had or came acros some when hunting but never have. I have never seen anyone selling them either. I believe they are extremely rare.
