Yes, nice job Swampboy!  This didn't even pop into my mind, not sure why...is it at least gold?  This should be the first thought when inspecting raw gold, shouldn't it?  I am disappointed in myself now.

What about the other two?  Did I at least get one right?

Stef, how could it be in a Genuine holder if it is not genuine?

You are 100% right, The gold is not in a slab and I typed the question wrong.

The answers are as follows
1) Environmental damage, I showed it to PCGS at the table before giving it to them and the said it should be fine. It is a very small spot lower right of the 3 in the date 1939

2) not genuine, a fake. My first fake gold coin, but did not get burned as it was a gift.

3) They said the reverse was cleaned :D :D :D
that's a very bad and poor excuse but didn't matter because I bought it in  a NGC slab
and cracked it out just for kicks and see what PCGS would say. I also wanted a nice image.

It resides in my 7070 type set album
