  • While I already had a 1882 CC Morgan, I wanted another cc Morgan in DMPL.
The 1884 seems to fit the bill and seems to have a very clean face for a MS-65
grade. When the coin arrives, I hope that it has the new guideline of 8 inch mirrors
and not the old guideline of 6 inch plus.

The 1891 S.L. Half in semi PL solves two needs at the same time.I needed a coin
with the legend on it and I wanted to show a coin with semi PL characteristics. I would
wish that PCGS, at some time in the future, will see fit to award the PL , Cameo
and DMPL to type , as it now does for Morgan MS Dollars. I believe such a new
designation will have a profound and positive effect on coin values much as the
new PLUS GRADE has had on coins. PCGS must realize, that change is good
in a hobby that requires change to stay energized and relevant.

  • OK people, I am a big boy. If there are any critical or negative comments about any of

the coins, I will use it as a learning experience. Even advanced collectors have something

to learn every day about coins. Every ones opinion has value, and I pay vary close attention

    to what Forum members think.

  • OK, I will throw my 2 cents in..... :)

I think that you are doing fine so far but need to slow down because you may miss the coin of a lifetime.
It may be a race against time, but you still got some.

Also. I would like to hear from you and see how the coins look in hand compared to the images.

  • Well, once I see the coins, if they do not look as good as the pictures, you can find me hiding under

the bed in embarrassment. The great and powerful wizard of Oz, respectfully asks, that nobody look behind the curtain

other wise my magnificent reputation will be ruined.

  • I am happy to report, that all coins have been received abd the coins are equal or exceed the quality shown
in the pictures. With so many coins to choose from, sometimes it takes true resolve to keep from pulling the
trigger without a long period of thought. I have to keep reminding myself, what it is that I want to accomplish.
I have to review my guidelines again and again, so that I do not side track myself down a path, I do not rally wish
    to go.

  • Excellent bear, I'm glad they look as they do in the images and even better in hand.

    Very true about being easily  side tracked when there are some very nice coins available :ThumbsUp;
