Title: Intel/Mattel Microscope (1999)

It is called a "Play" and you need to think of that as "toy" rather than as in "Playstation."  But it only cost $5 at the local Goodwill computer store.  With some work, like any tool, I got used to its limitations and found some of its strengths. These are both at 10x. The microscope has 10-60-200 power, but 10 is fine for most things. And most coins are too large for the field of view, which is why the Cap and Rays 20 centavo is just the Cap and Rays.  The controls for the lighting have little actual range. Most coins are too bright. I found that I had to keep my subject in the far lower right corner, farthest from the light source.  The software allows "Paint" type editing.
And it allows the building of a short (9 slide) automated show.
