Michael,
I'm only interested in the ones from British Commonwealth countries.
Have you seen these; http://www.complementarycurrency.org (http://www.complementarycurrency.org) & http://www.coinnetwork.com/group/worldcommunitycurrencies (http://www.coinnetwork.com/group/worldcommunitycurrencies) ?
Click on 'ccGallery' in the former link,& scroll down the pull menu.
You will be blown away.

Some are pretty sharp. Here's a similar "local currency experiment" based in Massachusetts http://www.berkshares.org/ (http://www.berkshares.org/) I don't collect notes but it is interesting to look.

Michael,
There's a lot of community currencies that are in circulation in quite a few states in America, plus a fair few up in Canada.
