  • Hello, my name is Dan. I'm in my early 20's. I just joined coinsarefun after seeing it on coinzip. I have been looking around and this site is great.  ;D
I collect Civil War tokens, also I have most of the Lincoln cents (only need the easy ones now), and I'm thinking of getting back into C.S.A. currency after having sold my collection (why do we sell? we just go back and re-purchase?) So basicly I love Civil War history as you should be able to tell!  :)
I am also a full time dealer. I enjoy working with kids and adults who are looking to have fun with coins, I want to teach them about numismatics. I study, and deal in ALL areas so I can talk coins, tokens, medals, and paper money with almost everyone. If I don't know the answer I have TONS of books on all subjects to look up the answers. I have fun in my line of work.
I look forward to hearing from all of you, and learning new things from you!

  • Hi Dan and a big welcome to our forum. There are a few members here that love CWT's as
    well as HTT's.

I hope you like it here and we can all learn more ;) :)

Here are a few of mine for just for you

  •  Thanks Stefanie! You have some GREAT looking tokens. I can tell that you do not just buy the first token you see, but look for choice ones.

The first picture you posted with "America's Civil War 1861-1865", you should have a poster printed of that and sell them! That is so cool and I would love to hang one of them up in my office!  :)

  • Check out the "giveaway" section here on the boards
and enter to win a free one :)

If you don't like all the tokens I can adjust the poster and give
    just  a CWT poster.

  • Welcome aboard,Dan!

Stefanie, your 1c. currency token from the Confederate States of America is one of the closest things to coins that the Confederate States of America ever had.It could be quite rare.

You should invite Larry who posts up on Coinzip to post up photos of his currency tokens on here.

    Aidan.

  • Lets see some of those CWT's that you collect Dan :)

I know this one is fairly common but I always liked the design ;)
Typical weak strike in the center on both sides
