Title: This outstanding toned medal belongs to a good friend but I took the photos : )
Post by: Larry on January 30, 2010, 04:03:03 AM

This is one of the most beautiful toned proof medals I have ever seen.  I believe it spent some years in an album.

I got to photograph it about a year ago using axial lighting.  : )

The medal is outstanding, the pose of the reverse figure and the overall design is five stars.
The depiction of Bismark is rendered in such a manner it almost appears to be a much later 20Th Century piece.
