World Premier~Banknotes

Since there's a World Premier page for coins, I figured it was only fitting to have one for banknotes too. To launch this thread, here are a couple notes that I picked up within the last couple of months from the BUKHARA SOVIET PEOPLES REPUBLIC. The first is 5,000 Tenge (Type 2), the second 10,000 Tenge (Type 2), both dated 1339 AH/1920 AD. These were first Soviet issued notes for Bukhara, and was the only Soviet controlled territory that didn't use the Ruble system (initially). Both issues were printed with engraved woodblocks, and used patterns almost identical to notes issued for the EMIRATE OF BUKHARA, except having a different date, treasury seals, and local emblem. The 5,000 Tenge has a crude hammer and sickle rendered on the reverse side, where as the 10,000 Tenge has a scythe and cotton sprig.
Thanks Stefanie, I'm glad you like them. I actually launched this thread a few months ago, but unfortunately this was one of the ones that got purged. So I submitted it again and hopefully it'll be here to stay. Best of luck.

I don't think I got to see it before the crash, glad that you re posted them. And I sure hope there will be no more crashes like that again.

Hey Aidan. Long time no talk. I'm glad you like the thread and the items I added to it. Here's another one I picked up within the last 3 months. This is 50,000 Ruble from the FEDERATIVE SOVIET SOCIALIST REPUBLICS OF TRANSCAUCASIA dated 1923. The federation was created in March 1922, after all three republics Georgia, Armenia and Azerbaijan came under Soviet order. This lasted until 1936, when Josef Stalin ordered the federation dissolved due to ethnic tensions building in the region. Each of the three republics gained full status as Soviet republics in the U.S.S.R. in December 1936.

Here's one that arrived in the mail today. This is 10,000 Ruble from the BUKHARA SOVIET PEOPLES REPUBLIC dated 1340 AH/1922 AD. This is an error note since it's missing the treasury stamps on the reverse side. One of the last issues to be printed with wood blocks.
Here's my latest banknote addition. This is 50 Ruble from CENTRAL SIBERIA dated 1918. This was issued under Chairman: Vasily V. Yakovlev of the Government of Central Siberia. Yakovlev was the last jailer of the Romanov family in Tobolsk. After he handed the royal family to their executioners in Yekaterinburg, he defected to the White regiment and set up a government around September 1918.
